Not sure where to begin?
Theoretically you could learn to code alone, for free. Pretty much all the tools, resources and tutorials are readily available on the internet, free to grab and use.
So why wouldn't you do that?
It is a long, confusing journey in the labyrinth of awesome and informative materials. Without proper guidance, constant feedback and a great, supportive community it becomes all too easy to lose your way and, eventually, your motivation. This is understandable, and it typically occurs within the first few weeks.
How about a bootcamp then?
They tend to address this issue. Bootcamps, however train "digital stonemasons", rather than "architects". They function as conveyor belts producing cogs for the corporate machine. Undoubtedly, they can be beneficial if you're seeking a relatively decent salary quickly, but this path may eventually lead to a dead end.
An honorable mention - Universities
Opting for a university is like choosing an anglistics major instead of an English language course — an absolute overkill. Do you aspire to pursue an academic career in computational theory? Dream of inventing the quantum computer or a programming language for it? If not, then you might not need a university - just learn to code.
Start with our superintensive starter course: it is fun, the community is engaging, the materials, the workshops, the exercises and the whole experince as-is will keep you locked in all the way through.
This is the robust beginning you need to hit the ground running and build a stable foundation for a successful career metamorphosis.

Career planner
Get help till you get your dreamjob. After our progbasic course you will have the skills to proceed autonomously. Still, most likely you will need some help on your way onwards.
CV building and demo interviews? We will get you prepared. Feedback, code reviews, guidance and materials... everything, on demand. Once a month or twice a week? It is up to you. From cybersecurity to UX design, from blockhain development to big data, game development or AI - whichever way you wish to proceed, we will be there for you.
Build your dream
A bit like a mentor, but more like a software architect, a lead developer and/or a scrum master. One of our highly qualified mentors - with years of experience at the highest level - will help you build what you have long dreamed of building.
Once a month or twice a week, we will be there on demand. In this unique contruction of ours you will be able to continue your studies by working on your dream project. What are you waiting for?

Frequently asked questions
The fundamentals of modern programming. In our progbasic course you will work with a variety of languages extensively utilized in various sectors, such as banking, game development, AI, and data analysis. You'll enhance and apply your algorithmic thinking skills in languages like Javascript, Python, and C#. Additionally, you'll explore diverse approaches to input-output (I/O) handling in various runtime environments, such as game engines, databases, blockchains, and more.
We kick off with Zoom workshops, where the the group, together can process the essential concepts needed for the day's exercises. These live sessions show you what, why, and how to practice, gearing you up for working independently in the next phase later in the day, when you'll tackle solo exercises and group projects. Your coach there all the time in the meantime. Every day wraps up with another full-group session — a recap and Q&A.
You'll be diving into our own state of the art lessons and exercises. They're guided and come with lots of hints and optional spoilers. From small algorithmic challenges to quirky puzzles that boost your 'programmer thinking', these exercises get you ready to tackle problems with code. You'll also take on little projects in different areas like game development, database management, app development, and smart contracts. We are constantly keeping things fresh, always bringing in the most interesting and talked-about technologies with each new curriculum.
Just hop on a casual online meeting. It's free, of course, and you'll chat with one of our coaches in your native language. Right now, we've got Swedish, Hungarian, and Estonian coaches.
It's just a brief chat, an online (Google) meet in your native language. Usually takes around 10-15 minutes, so we, the academy, and you, the potential student, can get on the same page about what to expect from this course. Bring your questions, we will be there to answer them.
The big difference is that here you're the client, not the product. Let us break it down: most bootcamps are "free" - the companies end up footing the bill for the students once they hire them. Now, don't get us wrong, this is a much better and fairer business model compared to what universities offer: "rack up a massive debt, pay us, and then... who cares?"
However...
Bootcamps must sell a certain number of students as junior developers every now and then, and they do achieve that, but it comes at a cost. They tend to overenroll, so that even after a significant number of drop outs (thanks to their strict, almost military-like drill, an extended recruitment process for a junior position, essentially), they still have enough students to sell. Not necessarily the "best" ones, but rather those who best fit to a junior position. (Which is still a far cry from achieving digital nomadism, entrepreneurship, and true independence...)
You can totally rock as an app developer/UX designer, an artist, even if a bootcamp would suck your soul out with its pace and methods. You can be an epic indie game developer, crafting the coolest, most creative games, even if (or much rather, especially if...) in a fast paced crash course you would not win a race for a junior position of big corporate. A lawyer, a doctor, an architect, or an economist can utilize coding even if they don't want to throw out their existing career for a junior developer job. Rather, they seek a way to advance in it and take it to the next level.
Everyone can learn to code, and everyone can utilize the knowledge of "speaking programming languages". To get there, you need a solid foundation, and you must start coding by actually enjoying it - in small groups, with interesting exercises and a lot of feedback, review and tutorage. If this is within your means, this is definitely the way (our way) to start coding.
